*LAUTECH TO RESUME ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES ON MONDAY 16TH OF OCTOBER*
In a just concluded meeting that lasted about an hour between the management and the aggrieved students of the varsity, many important personality from the realm of affairs of the school were present, namely amongst them are the Vice chancellor of the University who have remained in a position of hibernation on student address for a period of iron, Professor S. Gbadegesin, Deans of faculties, Dean student affairs and many other major stakeholders.
Many students were offered the privilege to unveil their burdened heart to the airing of the fathers in present for progressive way forward.
There, factual facts were given on the payment of funds by the funding states (Oyo and Osun). A billion Naira remitted into the school account by the state of Osun is undoubtedly an affirmation, also the acclaimed and controversial 500 million Naira remitted over time by the Oyo state constituted authority was also accounted for by the management. It is now crystal clear that more than one billion Naira is dancing in the school account awaiting disbursement by the management.
Many disturbing issues were raised by the students, some of which are duly addressed by the respected vice chancellor and other big wigs from the chamber of the council.
After series of progressive deliberations by the management and contributions by the students, a denied graduate and student leader ask a salient questions which has been the bone of contention is all chambers from the VC that when exactly is the school commencing lectures in all departments and faculties. *_Then the VC rose and speak with utmost certainty and authority_* in a nutshell that the *school commences academic activities on Monday 16th of October unfailingly.* In fact a pioneer professor in the varsity also establish the fact that sanity will return to the school premises in a couple of hours.
Which invariably mean that the unions will be settled in a matter of days while all things been equal. Many of the professors were interrogated at the backstage of the Congress about how buoyant the VC's assertion on resumption is, they all nodded in affirmation since the paramount leader and the controller general of affairs has promised in *the name of God almighty* that academic activities commences uninterruptedly Next Week Monday.
All hands on deck now, while we await the magical speedometer to be run by the council in fast tracking the payment scheme of the tired and unretired workers of the varsity both the academic staffs and the non academics. It also came to my notice there in the Congress that the unions have suspended their meetings for now in other for the new development to be executed before their general Congress on final resolutions.
We hereby pray like the VC did that God almighty the ruler of all man kind help us in this trying times to bless the leaders with the right way of resolving this imbroglio permanently.
Now, i can say with a divided heart, that ladokites should start preparing for serious academic work, has the long time lost hope will be restored in a couple of days.
