Reacting to questions on the present situation of things in the university, Prof. Gbadegesin emphasised that all hands within and outside the university are currently on deck to hasten the resumption of staff and students and an end put to the crisis.

It should be recalled that the institution was closed months ago as a result of industrial action by the academic staff of the institution on owed subvention arrears amounting to N7.1 billion by the owner state governments, Oyo and Osun.
Different groups, organisations and parents’ forum are taking action together with the government to assist so that the students can resume as early as possible.

However, we are very hopeful now with the media reports on Paris refund being released. And with the efforts made by the students’ Union, the staff unions, the parents’ forum, the public and everyone, we are resuming very soon by the grace of God.” — Prof. Adeniyi Gbadegesin, Vice-Chancellor, LAUTECH, Ogbomosho
