Life is not fair!!! (Article)

Life is not fair! This is one of the facts that human beings through the ages have been trying to dodge. It is rather unfortunate that we have not learnt from history and are still shying away from this undeniable fact. It is a reality that life is not fair - this is not hypothetical, as it has been proven over and again throughout the history of mankind.

My message is simple. Life is not fair. No matter who you are or what circumstances you may find yourself in, there are certain  aspects of life that will seem to pose a limitation for you.

Let us take it everywhere and explore it from all angles; to the poor, the middle class, and the rich- life is not fair. Let us roll back to the brilliant and the dull students- life is still not fair. Let us ship this fact through the continents --Africa, America, let us cross the Pacific ocean; it is still the same- life is not fair.

Why then do we run away from this fact? The realization of this fact would only reveal the strength of the ogbomosho
but the dodging would clearly make plain the  hidden weaknesses within the human race.

Write it in your heart, paste it in your room and echo it to someone- LIFE IS NOT FAIR! It is so simple. You will have to overcome odds stacked against you to get anywhere. There is no quick and easy way, nothing worth having in life comes without a fight. It is good we know and accept this fact because the earlier we do the faster our growth kicks off.  The earlier we know we can not always get all we desire, the better we will learn to maximize all we have.

It would be of great benefit to know that people can be so disappointing, sometimes unwittingly, before one of our loved ones fails us.

The moment we accept this reality, we begin to grow. We begin to see life's unfairness in a different perspective. At that point, we start to turn limes of life to smiles of better tomorrow. Adversities of life becomes catalysts to our success, failure starts becoming stepping stones and not tombstone to our success. The wind of life becomes lifting air for us to soar like eagle. The realization of this fact helps us to accept hardships of life as a test of character and not the end. Once again, I want to remind you that life is not fair!

Life is not fair. I have had unfair things happen to me. I know surely you also have. I have made mistakes, I have been hurt,  the limes of life have been thrown at me and I'm sure same goes for you too. We can not avoid life's unfairness.

In the ancient history recorded in the Bible, Daniel did not escape life's unfairness. Joseph tasted of it and everyone else, both renown and unknown, had their fair share. We must all learn to overcome life's unfairness. We need to overcome the odds to get to anywhere.

Life is not fair. Still doubting? Good people develop dreaded diseases, houses burn to the ground which leaves families despondent. Young men and women get killed unfairly. Air plane crashes, ships sink and vehicles get involved in accidents which leave the victims devoid of a tool for life. Bankruptcies are all around. Governments fail to pay their workers' salaries, there are wars around and refugees seek help.

The realization of this fact should not halt our success journey. That we can sometimes fail is not an alibi not to try. That our best efforts may not bring out the best sometimes is not a sitting bed not to give our best. Joseph's maturity, born of life's unfairness, should be an example to us. How he overcame all the odds against him should be a source of inspiration for us. Despite the unfairness, do not give up . Never give up on hope, hold strongly to hope. Stay grounded, do not allow the odds of life to set boundaries for you. Never settle for less, though life will surely at a point offer you the less.

Life is not fair but despite this we must not give up. We must stand and say to life- I WILL NOT SETTLE FOR LESS.

Thank you.
