It may seem that many people don’t depend on newspaper to get daily news, but it’ll amaze you when you see the number of persons that patronize vendors on a daily basis. Note that without this, google will not pay you even if your channel have 10million views.

(d) You need at least 10,000 views: Just like above, google will not pay you even if you have more than 1,000 subscribers if your views is not up to 10 thousand. Therefore, in addition to the 1,000 subscribers, you still need 10,000 views before google will start paying you.

(e) 4000 hours of annual viewing time: This means that the viewing time of your videos will be calculated yearly. After a month, the arithmetic will be carried out to know if after one year; whether your video’s annual viewing time will equal or surpass 4000 hours. 

Now that you’ve gotten the five prerequisites explained above, next is to find a way to record any goal action scored during the world cup as much as you can, as well as match highlights. Royal Wedding 2018: Prince Harry To Wed Meghan Markle

Royal wedding excitement is nearing fever pitch, as millions of people around the world prepare to watch Prince Harry marry Meghan Markle. 

Crowds are arriving in Windsor, while hundreds more camped out overnight to secure the best viewing spot.
Prince Harry has been made the Duke of Sussex by his grandmother the Queen, Buckingham Palace announced.

Countries You Can Study At Top Universities At Affordable Fees. - Education

Within the past years, there has been a throng of Nigerians travelling outside to obtain tertiary education. Either first degrees or post-graduate qualifications, with the latter taking the highest number. So why do most Nigerians desire to study abroad? Some say it is due to the deplorable state of our educational system. To others, a change of environment and pursuit of a global career necessitate it. Yet for another group of people, it is to further their educational pursuit in an environment that has the best of facilities and conduciveness. Popular countries include the UK (A 2015 report showed Nigeria was the 6th highest contributor of foreign students studying in the UK), US (popular for graduates taking standardised tests such as the GRE and GMAT), Canada (similar to the US) and Germany (the free tuition). Others include Australia, Belgium, The Netherlands, Malaysia, Russia and mostly Eastern European countries.

However, and unfortunately, majority of Nigerians who go to obtain foreign education do not get it from top institutions globally. Yes, there are Nigerians studying for undergraduate and post-graduate degrees at Oxford, Harvard, MIT, Imperial College London, Caltech, McGill University, Technical University of Munich etc. However, they constitute a minuscule percentage of the total population of Nigerian students overseas. This is not to say that Nigerian students are not intelligent or smart to get admitted into top institutions globally. Stringent immigration rules, limited information on what it takes it to be admitted, high fees and let’s admit it, the neck-break competition to get into these institutions can be attributed to the less number of Nigerians compared to say, the Chinese. However, there are countries where you can obtain education from top 1000 institutions at affordable rates, and they come with less immigration hassles compared to the most patronised nations presently by Nigerian students. For the purpose of this article, fees will be in naira.

1. ISRAEL: The nation with the second notable hub for technology globally – Silicon Wadi – after the famous Silicon Valley, California. She is especially known for innovation in the high-tech sector. Home to more high-tech start-ups than any country other than the US – pretty outstanding, considering its relatively small size and population. Additionally, in recent years, Israel has also been touted as the world’s next major biotech hub. There are nineuniversities in Israel, as well as lots of higher education colleges; the difference amongst them is that the universities offer degrees all the way up to doctorate level. Courses are often taught in Hebrew, but many leading Israeli universities also offer English-taught programs. 6 out of the 9 Israeli universities made the QS World University Rankings® 2018. With The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (seen as Israel’s MIT), Ben-Gurion University of Negev and Tel-Aviv University making the top 400. Fees for international students range from N3 – 6 million annually for both undergraduate and post-graduate programs. This depends on the school and course. With Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and Haifa topping the expensive cities (not unexpected as they are the economic nerves’ centres of Israel).

2. HONG KONG: Special administrative region of China, where “East meets West”. The fourth global financial centre according to the Z/Yen survey, Hong Kong has some of the best tertiary institutions in the world. From the University of Hong Kong to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology to the Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, all in the top 100 institutions globally. Universities in HK offer courses in English and Chinese Cantonese. Tuition fees are circa N2 million annually regardless of disciplines at post-graduate level, and N5 – 7 million at undergraduate level. Although, Hong Kong is one of the world’s expensive cities especially in housing, it offers quality education in the world’s vibrant economic continent.

3. SOUTH KOREA: An “Asian Tiger”, separated from her belligerent neighbour – North Korea in 1948. 70 years later, Korea (as she’s colloquially called) is amongst the top countries for foreign education, with Seoul – its capital – in the world’s top ten students’ cities. Education in Korea, which has received massive investment over the years is highly developed and affordable. The government which planned achieving 100, 000 foreign students’ enrolment in her universities by 2010, and achieved 85% in 2011, plans 200, 000 students’ enrolment by 2032. Circa 50% of Korean universities offer courses in English Language. There are 27 Korean universities in the top 1000 according to the TimesHigherEducation rankings in 2018, with Seoul National University ranked number one. Other highly ranked universities include Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Sungkyunkwan University, Yonsei University, Korea University, Ewha-Womans University, Gyeongsang University, Hanyang University etc. Tuition fees which are the same for local and foreign students range from N1 – N4 million annually for graduate students, and N1.6 – 3.4 million annually for undergraduate studies. This depends on the school and course, with humanities being lesser than natural/medical sciences. Note: Public/National universities are cheaper than private universities.

4. SOUTH AFRICA: Nick-named the “Rainbow nation” due to its multicultural character. More highly ranked universities in Africa are located in South Africa than any other country. There are 23 public universities: Divided across traditional, technological and comprehensive; offering theoretically, vocational and both courses respectively. With University of Cape Town being the highly ranked university, behind it are University of Witwatersand and Stellenbosch University. Other SA universities in the top 700 globally include: University of Pretoria, The University of Johannesburg, The University of Kwazulu-natal and Rhodes University. Tuition fees range from N880, 000 to N2.7 million for undergraduate programs and N1.3 – N1.5 million for graduate studies. This depends on the school, course and nationality with students under the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) paying same fees as South Africans. International students are also expected to pay residence fees, which varies across schools (students from SADC countries are exempted from this).


5. JAPAN: Land of the rising sun, 3rd biggest economy (by nominal GDP) and most developed country in the Asia-Pacific region. The government initiated the program – The Global 30 Project in 2014 – aimed at promoting internationalisation of academic environment of Japanese universities and acceptance of excellent international students to study in Japan. Furthermore, she has set a target of having 300,000 international students in the country by 2020 (it achieved the 100,000 mark in 2003). As a result, universities are focusing on making life easier for foreign students, from the application process all the way through to finding a job after graduation to an increasing number of schools offering their courses in English. Universities are divided across Private, Public and National Universities. Generally, the best schools are National universities. Japan has the highest number of highly ranked universities in Asia (43, QS World University Rankings® 2018) which includes: The University of Tokyo, Osaka University, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, The Tokyo Institute of Technology, Kobe University, Tohoku University etc. Tuition fees are different from admission fees, with the former pegged at N1, 940, 000 to N2, 665, 742 (only for Law School) and the latter at N931, 953 (paid only during the first year) annually. Students are also expected to pay an annual examination fee ranging from N56, 000 to N99, 000 depending on the course, with Law being the highest. Students pay the same fees for both undergraduate and graduate programs irrespective of one’s nationality.


6. INDIA: An ICT, pharmaceutical and manufacturing hub. A leader in the fields of sciences, mathematics and medicine. One of the fastest growing economies and the 2nd most populated nation globally. Education in India has received massive investments in recent years which has resulted in her universities climbing the ranks globally and are generally affordable. The following universities are ranked in the top 1000 globally according to the QS World University Rankings® 2018 and The Times Education Rankings® 2018: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, University of Delhi, Jadvapur University, University of Calcutta, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur etc. Indian universities offer courses in Standard English Language and Hindi. Fee structure in most IIT (comprising of tuition and other fees, e.g. Library and Caution fee) range from N1, 500, 000 to N2, 200, 000 annually for both undergraduate and post-graduate programs. Fees depend on the school and discipline, with medical courses at the zenith.
NB: Unlike other nations above, international students are not allowed to work while studying in India.

With the increasing demand of quality education by Nigerian students and parents alike, we desire that Nigerian students study at some of the best institutions globally. Knowing fully well that high tuition fees and living costs deter majority achieving this dream. We believe that same dream can be achieved, but at places where it is generally affordable when juxtaposed to popular countries. So the questions we pose are: Why aspire to study Medicine at Anglia Ruskin University (not in the top 300 universities globally) and pay N7 million naira annually when same education can be obtained from the University of Tokyo (28th best globally) for N3 million naira?

Why going for a post-graduate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Coventry University (not in the top 600 globally) for N6 million naira annually, when same can be gotten from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (ranked 46 globally) for N2 million naira? Why aspire to study Accounting at Fisk University (not in the top 1000) for N7 million naira annually, when same can studied at Seoul National University (35th best globally) for circa N2 million naira? If you are aiming at studying abroad, we believe you should study at some of the world’s best institutions, at affordable rates. Yes, Stanford University is expensive for you, but why not try Tel-Aviv University instead of Nottingham Trent University? Yes, distance, less proportion of blacks and language barriers might deter you. But remember, we are in a global village and digital century where being bi/tri-lingual can be advantageous. What about pursuing opportunities after studies? Minimal immigration hassles!

JAMB Has Finanly Extends 2018/2019 UTME Registration - Education

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announces the extension of registration for 2018 UTME till midnight of Sunday, 11th February, 2018.

JAMB as a responsive organisation has taken the decision albeit with great hesitation to accommodate candidates who failed to register between the two months window period that ended at midnight of Tuesday, 6th February, 2018. 

The failure of these candidates to register is unfortunate and the Board hastens to add that this culture of impunity will not be tolerated henceforth. Indeed penalty will be imposed for late registration from next session. 

UTME candidates are therefore strongly advised to take advantage of the extension to register as request for further extension would not be entertained.

Registration for Direct Entry candidates however continues.

For emphasis, 2018 UTME registration now closes at midnight of Sunday, 11th February, 2018

Once you have skills that are in demand, you will start earning steady income online. If you don’t have any idea about skills that are most lucrative, you need to watch out for my post where I will make a detailed list about them.

In affiliate marketing, you earn commissions by referring people to buy certain products. You can be an affiliate marketer with several companies. In Nigeria, you can become an affiliate marketer with Jumia and Konga or you can turn to Amazon and ClickBank if you want to deal with international e-commerce websites. Affiliate marketing is a lucrative online business, but like every other business, you need to first learn about it. 20 Amazing Facts About Kia Cars You May Not Know - Car Talk

For the longest time, KIA was an underdog in the automotive industry. At the dawn of its history, the Korean company was a humble manufacturer, barely known to few industry professionals and unnoticeable to the public. However, the company is a living example of the rule that hard work, a little bit of creativity and a fair share of luck can turn an unknown company into one of the top players of the world automotive industry. Nowadays, KIA produces distinctive, reliable, modern and relatively affordable cars. So, let us talk about KIA, shall we?

1. KIA was founded in 1944. Initially, the South Korean company was called KyungSung Precision Industry. In 1951, the company changed its name to KIA Industries. The company focused on the manufacturing of personal vehicles, mainly bicycles, and motorcycles. Much later, in the 1970s KIA launched its own line of cars and trucks.

2. According to KIA Motors, the name “Kia” derives from the Sino-Korean characters ki (èµ·, “to come out”) and a (亞, which stands for East, Asia or both). Therefore, the name “Kia” is can be translated from Korean as “one, that came out of the east.”

3. During the mid-60’s the South Korean company closely cooperated with the famous Japanese automaker Mazda. It was a mutually beneficial partnership; thanks to this experience, KIA managed to develop its own engine in the early 70’s. Two years later, the company created the very first car of its own design. It was a subcompact named KIA Brisa, which was almost an exact copy of the Mazda 1300. The South Korean company actively exported KIA Brisa abroad. The first shipment was sent to Qatar.

4. As early as 1988, KIA produced its 1,000,000th car.

5. In 1998, KIA failed victim to the financial crisis, caused by a sharp decline in sales. As a result, the company lost its independence and was acquired by another South Korean company – Hyundai Motor. In 1999, two Korean automakers united under the name of Hyundai KIA Automotive Group.

6. Nowadays, KIA Motors distribution network covers more than 190 countries. The total number of car dealerships exceeds 5000.

7. KIA has production facilities on all continents, except for Australia.

8. The first commercial success came to the South Korean company in 1986 after the creation of a subcompact KIA Pride. It was a copy of the Japanese automobile Mazda 121. The Korean vehicle turned out to be a very reliable, inexpensive. A total of about two million cars were built. Curiously, in some countries, KIA Pride is being produced to this day.

9. KIA Motors also owns the world’s largest car assembly factory. It is located in the city of Ulsan, South Korea.

10. The Cee’d is Kia’s first European-designed and built car and KIA intends to sell and manufacture the vehicle exclusively in Europe. The name of this most popular model is an abbreviation from the “Community of Europe and European Design”. During the design process, KIA Motors tried to comply with European quality standards. Accordingly, “CE” – the first two letters in the name stand for the European Community or Community of Europe. The second part – “ED”, respectively, is an abbreviation for European Design.

11. Many KIA models are named after geographical objects. For instance, Cerato – is translated from Greek as “peak”, Sorento is a city in Italy, Mohave is a desert in the southwest of the USA.

12. In 1990, KIA developed its own diesel engine DOHC, making another important step in the right direction. Two years later, the company opened its offices in the United States and Europe. The first model to be offered at those markets was the KIA Sephia, and a little bit later, the Korean company presented KIA Sportage, a crossover.

13. KIA Sportage deserves closer attention; released in 1994, it was the most popular SUV. The vehicle was based on the Mazda Bongo chassis. Initially, the Sportage was manufactured at the Karmann factory in the city of Osnabrück, Germany. The subsequent generations of the model were produced in Korea, Slovakia, Indonesia, and Kazakhstan.

14. In 2013, the fourth generation KIA Carens became the best car of its class according to the version of Euro NCAP.

15. KIA is one of the largest sponsors of many excellent sports events. The most famous of them are the FIFA World Cup (World Football Championship) and the UEFA Championship (European Football Championship).

16. KIA automobiles received more than 500 different awards in different countries. For example, KIA Quoris is a car year in the UAE (2013); KIA Optima is the car of the year in the USA in 2012.

17. In 2006, the German designer Peter Schreyer, who used to work on the design of Audi and Volkswagen cars, became the chief designer of KIA Motors. Schreyer is responsible for one of the most distinctive design elements of all new KIA models, the so-called “Tiger Nose” radiator grille. The German designer became one of the key figures of the South Korean company. Since 2012, Peter has been one of the three directors of Kia, and in 2013, he became the director of the design department of the entire Hyundai Motor Group.

Buhari Approves UNILAG TV License

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday approved a television licence for the University of Lagos (UNILAG TV).

This was disclosed after a meeting with the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, and the Senior Special Assistant, Garba Shehu, at the Presidential Villa.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, said the approval of the TV station was a confirmation of the president’s position on promoting free press and unhindered access to information.

Ogundipe said the TV station would enhance research-oriented education and ease communication within and outside the university campus.

“It is now on record that the present administration signed the first campus TV licence and we remain deeply grateful to the president.

“The university is a brand. We want the university to be the research hub in Africa, and we are working towards being among the best three in the entire continent,’’ he said.

Adesina, while congratulating the vice chancellor on the new development, said President Buhari was fully committed to improving the standard of education in the country.

Degree: B.S. in Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Page, who was born in East Lansing, Michigan, co-founded Google, the world’s most popular search engine, as a research project while in school at Stanford. “Google” refers to the mathematical term “googol” – which is the number one followed by 100 zeros. After forming Google parent company Alphabet in October 2015 as part of a corporate restructuring, Page is now the CEO of Alphabet, while Sundar Pichai is the CEO of Google.


2. Mark Parker, President and CEO, Nike
Degree: B.S. in Political Science from Penn State University.

A native of Poughkeepsie, New York, Parker also ran track at Penn State. He started his career at Nike as a shoe designer. Subsequent roles at the company included Vice President of Consumer Product Marketing, Vice President of Global Footwear and Co-President of the Nike brand.

Shultz, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, attended college on a football scholarship. His first job at Starbucks was as Director of Retail Operations and Marketing. The new year is off to a great start for America’s billionaires.

Major market indices are up 2% year-to-date, continuing the major stock gains of last year.

Among those profiting from the continued stock surge is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The 33-year-old has already made $4.16 billion since 2018 began, with company shares climbing more than 5%.

That’s been enough to vault Zuckerberg from 5th to 4th on Bloomberg‘s billionaires list (where he’s been as recently as 2016). He’s now worth nearly $77 billion.

Yet, in a Facebook post last week, Zuckerberg seemed to express concern about his company’s status.

“With the rise of a small number of big tech companies—and governments using technology to watch their citizens—many people now believe technology only centralizes power rather than decentralizes it,” he wrote. He added he also hopes to better enforce Facebook’s posting policies and reduce abuse.

Meanwhile, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos—who has gained the most so far this year—is still the richest person on Bloomberg‘s billionaires list. He’s earned $4.71 billion since Jan. 2 and is now worth $104 billion.

The top 5 wealthiest people according to Bloomberg are now as follows:

Bill Gates: $93.3 billion
Warren Buffett: $86.4 billion
Mark Zuckerberg: $76.9 billion

Things you need to know About USMLE (United States Medical License Examination)

United States Medical license examination is an examination which medical officer (medical doctors) sit down to write when they want to continue there medical practice in the United States of America. The exam is written  by medical doctors who had completed their medical degrees in any other universities outside the United States and Canada.
The following criteria must be met before sitting for the examination.
-one major USMLE 2017 eligibility criteria is that all international students planning to appear for the exam need to be enrolled or have graduated from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. 

 The examination is written in 3 major steps of which after completing the step you will be allow to continue your medical degree in the United State of America. 
Here’s is the USMLE eligibility 2017 for Step 1:
  • As per USMLE eligibility criteria 2017, the candidate should be enrolled in or graduate of a medical school outside of the US and Canada, which is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
  • Meets ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) certification eligibility criteria. ECFMG assesses international medical students who want to enter into a residency programme in the USA.  ECFMG certification is available on ECFMG’s Interactive Web Applications (IWA).
  • Must meet USMLE eligibility 2017 requirements at the time of application.
USMLE Step 2 eligibility 2017:
The USMLE Step 2 has two parts -- Clinical Knowledge (CK) and Clinical Science (CS). The difference between the two parts is that while CK is paper based test, whereas in CS, test takers are put through a simulated patient care process where they have to take care of standardised patients i.e., people trained to portray real patients. However, the USMLE eligibility criteria for both the tests are same. 
Here’s is the USMLE eligibility criteria 2017 for Step 2 (CK and CS):
  • Should be enrolled in or graduate of a medical school outside of the US and Canada, which is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
  • Meets ECFMG certification eligibility criteria.
  • Must meet USMLE 2017 eligibility requirements at time of application.
USMLE Step 3 eligibility 2017:
The USMLE Step 3 is the third and final round in the USMLE exam process. Unlike the other rounds, the USMLE eligibility criteria requires that the candidate not only clears round 1 and 2 but also holds a US or Canadian MD or equivalent. Step 3 is a two-day exam divided between Foundations of Independent Practice (FIP) and Advanced Clinical Medicine (ACM). Clearing USMLE Step3 leads to the final licence for students to practice medicine in the USA.
Here’s is the USMLE eligibility 2017 for Step 3:
  • Candidate should have cleared Step 1, Step 2 CK and Step 2 CS
  • Possess a degree equivalent to a US and Canadian MD degree from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.
  • Candidates who hold valid Fifth Pathway certificates issued through December 31, 2009 are eligible to meet Step 3 USMLE 2017 eligibility requirements for applications
  • Candidates who do hold Fifth Pathway certificates that are not accepted by the USMLE programme have to obtain ECFMG certification.
