University of ibadan put first semester on hold due to Asuu strike

Due to the commencement of academic staff union of universities, Asuu, strike, the university of ibadan Nigeria has stopped the present on going first semester, shifting activities left in the ongoing semester to the next semester. Information gathered saw that the present semester examination was yet to be concluded.

According to the university, whatever was left has in first semester examination will hold on till the second semester. Most of the student affected by the decision are those who are under the online distance learning program. In a statement signed by the communication officer,Dayo olajire, said that a separate time table would be put in place for the remaining papers yet to be done.he said all outstanding papers remaining will be concluded before the commencement of 2016/2017 second semester which would be a week to the commencement of the second semester.Apparently, the basis for this new arrangement is to save learners the hassle of coming down to complete examinations whenever the strike is called off.
